Executable extension updates are delivered through Chrome Web Store releases. Signed CleanWeb rule/configuration updates can be delivered from the CleanWeb service. Users should not have to reinstall the extension for normal updates.
CleanWeb cannot silently install an extension without Chrome’s user confirmation. That confirmation is a browser security requirement and protects the customer.
